Mrs. Kim Heang, the owner of the Green Feed company, gave an honor on 11 June, 2017 to share her painful, sensational and motivational experience in both professional and personal life at the VYCS weekly dialogue program. The powerful guest speaker used to have a bitter life story until she overcame it and turned her life over, successfully.
Mrs. Kim was born in a medium family in Tbong Kmom, whose parents were both doing trade. As a child, she was craving for knowledge and wished to receive higher education just like her brothers, but she were forced to drop out of school at grade 3 due to the prejudice on women of her parents at that time. However, she did not give up on her goal. At the age of 13 years old, she asked her father to take a dental specialized class and got the allowance, still she had to study with a Vietnamese dentist at home.
Later, she married to her husband and moved to Phnom Penh, when her life became tragically miserable. She hardly got a job as a dentist’s assistant at her brother-in-law clinic because she had no specialization certificate nor degree. Therefore, she remained peace and merely focused on making money from dedicated and committed energy who could fight with overcoming in tolerance and going ahead.
With her enormous ambitious, one day, she started to run a risky business of importing animal feed named Green Feed from Vietnam. Most of her capital were loaned money, 5000$ to be exact. Fortunately, it was successful and continued to grow from importing 7 tons to 170tons within 2 years. Then, she took a giant step by investing on having a Green Feed factory in Cambodia.
Despite overthinking about her family members insulting and disagreement, believed she had no skill and enough experience on the field, she confront them by put herself in the business and it finally took off dramatically. Now a days, Green Feed company has 8 branches in Cambodia and consist of 20 million$ net worth.
With such a tremendous success, Mrs. Kim has proved people, who had negative thinking on her wrong. The story of her life is such a powerful message to inspire everyone, especially women that strong ambition, commitment, and patient are the best weapons to fight against negativity and build an empire of success.
